I found out that the Shifter Doctor who rebuilds and sells Hurst Shifters and kits was only about an hour south of me so I brought the complete shifter from my 64 Belvedere down to him to look at. His business is online only but he was nice enough to allow me into his shop it turned out that the shifter, shift arms and shift rods were wrong so he gave me a price to rebuild and convert my shifter to the correct one and supply the correct shifter arms and shift arms.
