Define "correct"?
In my book, it's meaning is refers to the parts that fit best and perform without failure and/or in regards to the shifting mechanism components, and most importantly won't deflect and feel vague when subjected to "spirited" use.
I run whichever parts work best in my cars without concern for originality. I do keep all the original parts for my #'s car in case I want to convert it back to stock for museum duty when I'm too old to enjoy the car(or when they cut off ouraccess to gas in 10 years for no reason).
