A833 43 tooth speedo gear.

Hi Members i am on the lookout for a 42 0r 43 tooth speedo gear. Went from a 323 gear set to a 3.91. Any body have a spare.

I'll have to check when I get home. I seem to remember having a couple gears in a box at home ( not sure on the teeth )

Year one still sells a lot of the pinions , so does the dealer I believe.

I saw some on E-bay last night. If you still need one you might check there. They were cheap too.

You must be running a small tire in the rear, generally with standard tires (around 27" dia.) the speedometer gear will run about 10 times the rear end gear. For example a
3.23 gear= 32 tooth speedometer gear
3.55 gear= 35
3.91 gear= 39

You might want to check that gear before you buy one. There`s a formula for getting the correct speedometer gear and you should be able to find it in the tech section here.
