I have a 1995 magnum 360 going into a '69 barracuda. It is a complete motor from a ram truck. I want to keep the ac compressor in place for a future use in the barracuda. The car is not an ac car. What is the best way to seal up the AC compressor so it can be used?
Thanks in advance for any help

"Seal" is the operative word. I don't know how you'd do that without using the very same fittings that are normally used on the hoses. Shipping dust caps ain't gonna do it. The vast change of underhood temps from cold overnight to 200+ while running will cause underhood air to be constantly ingested into the compressor

Can't you change the belt system and remove it?

Can't you temporarily replace the compressor with an idler?

And of course all the time your run it will be wearing out the clutch bearing, etc.

Would be much better to seal it and bag it, or just figure on replacing it down the line.

I have all my hoses hooked up and just left the belt off the pulley, but then I have a compressor from the mid 70s LA.

Edit: that doesn't really help you. sorry
