Ac wiring

Hey guys I have a 72 swinger .. needs alot of work . In hind sight may have not bought it . It's very complete but need some help with the wiring .. I have all the ac there Ito looks to have a charge but it's got wires hanging and burnt . Any one out there have a diagram or detailed pics .. I have had this car for a while. Got it running that was the easy part need to tune it up . Swap some steel has rust quarter c-pullers and roof.. any ways summer is upon us .. ac guys help a brother out .

Do you mean wires hanging loose out by the compressor, or under the dash? Probably best to post some pictures and also identify the color of the wires if you can.

Does the fan operate with fan switch?

I'm sure someone has a 72 wiring diagram - and they can help.

can someone tell me what this is I have 2 darts and they both have one no idea what it's for . Or what hooks up to it ???

there is nothing hooked up to the compressor but don't see anything close to able .

this is a random off the dryer connector the plug broke off needs repair but don't now we're it goes.

this is on the bulk head not sure if I'm missing a jumper harness . I appreciate your help it he'll in redding,ca with out ac . I want to get her on the road again. Still needs alot of work here she is

So I found a old harness reminent.. looks like there was a short. Car didn't run foe more then a decade and sat in a field before I pulled it out with help from my brother in law and a warn wen have and snatch block currently I had no keys

I'm not sure how similar your 72 is to my 67, but on the wiring harness that goes to the alternator and temperature sender, there should be a another plug that goes to the one you are holding in your hand (over the compressor). This wire engages the compressor clutch.
