Are those your photos, that is did you actually take them? The first few I saw have a big X across the photo with a comment about "thou shalt not steal"

no they were taken by the track photographer. I know I can't take those from his site, but I have my own photos as well that I can not get to post. his are way better than mine anyway, lol!

wow very nice looking car you have there. looks like its pulling the front tires very nicely. what size rear slick/wheel are you running? I hope i get to take my dart to the mopars invade mokan mo on April the 5th.

the rear slicks are 29.5x9 Mickey Thompson ET's on 15x8 Weld Drag Lites. I really need a 10 inch wide wheel to help with a bigger foot print, but I already had the 8 inch wheels and used them because of being low on funds and trying to get finished with the car.

thanks for the kind words and hope you get to make it on the 5th.

thanks and i hope i make it to.lol what all have you done to get them to fit your dart? my dart is a 73, I have been a best of 10.49 in the 1/4 but with only a 1.48 60 foot. that was with the M/T 275/60/15 ET street radial tire.I have to get a new set of tires for my dart before April the 5th and was thinking about switching to a M/T slick.

the car has been mini tubbed and the rear has been narrowed. I can't remember, but I think it was narrowed 2 inches per side. I have wheels with 4.5 inches of backspace. I had to trim the inner lips on the inside of the wheel wells in the quarter panel. not take them all the way down, just trim them. on the inside I have about 2 inches to the spring, so there is plenty of room to go wider with the right back spacing.. I also had to have the bottom of the wheel wells cut and moved forward toward the rocker panels to keep the slicks from touching them. my body guy moved them 3/4 of an inch forward and the tire just barely touches the paint during the burnout. it doesn't even leave a mark on the slick or rubber on the body. just kisses it. however, if doing it again I would make sure it was moved about 1 1/4' at least.

the rear end stuff was done on my car before i bought it. but doesn't sound like its had enough stuff done to it.lol my car just has the springs moved in and no Minni tub. think the rear is stock length and have the out fender lip folded in. but don't have the front lower 1/4 panel's cut for tire clearance.I do have my rearend moved back about 1-1/4 inches though and my wheels are the same as yours. oh sorry for highjacking your post and best of luck to you on racing your car this year. thanks Mopar65

I forgot to mention that my springs have been moved in as well. if you have had your rear moved back that far then you will be ok. I didn't want to move mine back and add to the wheel base, but if I ever plan to run 1/4 mile then I would have to move it about a 1/2 inch to keep the tire off of it.
