Broadband is all that's available where I live, tired of waiting for news stories etc to fully load, and tired of being bombarded with ads period.

Can't watch a news vid {Or what passes for news these days} without watching the stupid commercial first, so who makes the best ad blocker? Free or bought doesn't matter.

If its a add that has paid for advertising and comes up just before the video i dont think you block them. But if its a pop up that is not ties directly to the video you can get things like pop up blocker, and in your internet explorer settings you can set no pop ups threw internet option. A good free one is called ADWARE.

I have used the free version for a couple of years before buying just my 2 cents.

I think Arco is right about some ads not being able to be blocked. Most browsers, not just Explorer, that I know of have pop up blockers as part of their features.

I have been using free adbloc plus for years love it. By the way are you using Mozilla firefox for your browser? If not, then I suggest you install and give it a shot. Mozilla is not the fastest browser, but it is the most secure. Here is the link to adbloc plus:

Make sure you have a firewall, antivirus, and a malware remover.
