I want to stick the scrunched together "Plymouth" on the trunk lid of my Duster but I want to get the right kind of adhesive so I don't mess the paint up. Anyone have any suggestions?

I suggest you pick up a tube of 3M Super Weatherstrip adhesive - in black, not amber. Follow the directions. It's designed for emblems and other trim too. Auto body suppliers carry it.

Good stuff. I've even used it to fix torn fork boots on my son's dirt bike.

Thanks! Now that I think of it, I might have bought some when I bought the weatherstripping for my car a few years ago. I'll have to dig through the garage and look.

yup I bought a tube of 3M emblem adhesive from local painter supply PRICEY but you know the rule you get what you pay for

3M also makes clear "Plastic and Emblem Adhesive" !

I've seen body shop guys use double faced foam tape. They cut around the curves with an Exacto knife.

3m emblem adhesive works so does the 3m double sided tape both available at carquest auto

Use the tape. You wont have to worry about the adhesive running out fron under the emblem and all over the paint.
