I have a '64 Barracuda that has a late model truck (I think?) 318 in it. It has a 4 barrel carb on it that has an electric choke. Right now, just to get the car running after rebuilding the carb, I set the choke to wide open. I need to get the choke hooked up though. Any suggestions on a power source that I could tap into, to hook up the choke? Guessing it needs to be something triggered by the turning of the key. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

You are correct. The easy way to do this is with a test light. Ground the test light to a nice bare metal part like the block and stab a host of wires on the fire wall to see what is live and dead. First check the wires with the key off. Then with the key in the run position.

At the rear of the passenger valve cover, there should be a connector for the engine wires. You can hook up the wire from one of these wires as well as test them by sticking the pointed end into the connector at this point.
