I bought two new rocker Shafts from Hughes engines. They don't have the notch in them like the stock ones do. Do the oil holes simply go down, in no particular direction? Thanks!

Do you use assembly lube on the hole shaft, or just in the rockers, or both?

Thanks much!

the oil holes go down and towards the exhaust....

There's a left and a right, call Hughes and find out which is which and flush the hell out of them before installing (I usually use diesel fuel cuss it's cheap and easy to get).

Here, scrowl down to illustration 1. http://www.hughesengines.com/Upload/productInstructions/RockerArmBundleinstructions.pdf

I sprayed brake cleaner through them. Hopefully that is good?!

Do you have to use a spacer between the pedestal and the rocker??
If I add a spacer, it don't want to line up properly. Two of them are like that.

Thanks!
