Some of you may know that I am one of the few if not the only early abody cars running a triangular 4 link with air bags all around. It has been a good install and I just had the first glich with the system.
It started out as a very slow leak that I could not trace and then all of the sudden my back end lost complete air pressure one day. Made it home but not a fun ride. The shock is actually the problem. It busted and punctured the bag. For all of you that are hesitant on the air ride system I can understand why. I do need to mention that the frame busted at the link connections about 200 miles ago and it is quite possible that movement in the rear end caused the damage to the shock. By the way, the only reason the link pulled off the frame was because the frame was just not strong enough to handle the stress loads on such a small area. Once we lengthened the brackets we have not had any issues.
