All original 1969 Dodge Dart Custom 4-door 273 ci. V8 automatic trans. Factory p/s and a/c. Around 95,000 miles asking $2,500

Car was parked in 1989 after owner died. Over the years a pack rat got under the hood, built a nest and chewed through some wires. Surprisingly the damage was strictly limited to under the hood. No mice made it into the interior or the trunk. Zero mice smell at all. Interior and trunk are both in great shape. No tears in any of the upholstery, including the headliner. No cracks in dash

Body is very solid. The only real rust is a couple small areas on quarter panel and fender. No cracks or chips in any glass and rubber seals are all in excellent shape. Most all trim is excellent shape. (The left fender was grazed at some point which damaged that piece of trim.) Bumper look great, but have some surface rust on lower areas. Engine is currently stuck. With the same valves being open for the past 28 years, condensation made its way into a couple cylinders causing a few rings to get stuck. Starter tries to crank over but can't yet.

Other than the engine, this car is about as much of a "barn find" as you can get when it comes to a brown 4-door. In perfect condition are the factory manual, warranty booklet, booklet sleeve, and even the pre-delivery service inspection sheet. I haven't pulled out the build sheet yet, but I'm sure it's perfect as well. There are also service records for the car down to every gas fill-up from the day the car was new.

I'll try to get more pictures on after a while. Hopefully the first one I attached works for now.

Thanks,

David

Tried to get picture of paperwork, but resizing to post on here was making it unreadable for some reason.

Floor and sub frame have undercoating and some surface rust. No noticeable rust through that I can see in those areas.

Engine bay had a nest as I mentioned. I didn't wipe that area down yet. Some surface rust in there and chewed through wires. I removed the fan and spark plugs this week so that I could attempt turning the crank by hand. Soaking the cylinders in some diesel in hopes of freeing it up. Looked in with a scope and there were no nests in the cylinders. Mice never made it into the carb/intake/engine. A/C and radiator hoses have surprisingly not been chewed through and seem nice.

At some point someone added a passenger mirror and placed it in a spot that is intrusive to the antenna.

As can be seen in the pictures, some rust through at quarters and fender. Left fender as I mentioned took a glancing blow at some point.

Well I removed the rear seat to get the build sheet out. The bottom side of that seat is in better shape than any original car of that age I've ever seen. It is also near perfect under the front seat and under the dash. After looking a little closer, this car is easily worth the $2,500 just in parts.

There was also a 2nd build sheet taped to the top of the glove box. A portion of that sheet must have been easy to grab at some point and someone ripped that chunk off. So there is currently 1 & 1/2 build sheets.

As you can see the headliner and seat belt restraints are all in excellent condition. The spare tire components are also present. Tire is B F Goodwrich.

Pre delivery inspection sheet was in perfect condition sitting inside glove box.
