70 Dart been working on for 12 years.
Lots more to do. Suspension, exhaust, front end rebuild.

Very cool.....but I'd lose that air cleaner. Like in a garbage can, man.
 
Those types of air filters are all too well known for catching fire if a backfire through the carb occurs. Do your car a favor and get an OE unit before that can happen.
 
Good news! I’ve been working on mine for 8 and have been thinking there’s something wrong with me, thanks for the sanity check.

Figured we would hear about the Edelbrock Flying Wedge air filters catching fire creating a Barbeque on top of the engine.

Big Cams and big overlap causing backfiring at idle when the timing is not quite right.

Picked up this Edelbrock air filter assembly at Mopars in the Park this weekend, just like brand new, simple one stud mounting.

$15 bucks, no shipping, no tax, can't beat that.

Nice port on under the back side too for the valve cover breather.

Grabbed the Shroud for the run stand at the swap too. All is good now.
