Almost no oil pressure help

-
you are 100% correct... i must have filled it with like 1 or 2 checked the oil levels and was like oh its good now..... Lesson learned. I swear i put 5 but not even sure. :eek:ops:

Lol, once I had to fill my 6 quart system with almost 8. About a quart and a half got away before I realized I forgot the pan plug.:blob:

Glad to say the car is back in my garage with 70 psi oil pressure! :) anyone have a correct 318 dipstick they want to sell me! :)

You don't need a new dipstick. Verify that the engine has the proper amount of oil in it. Start the engine and let it run for a minute or so. Shut off. Remove the dip stick, wipe clean, reinstall in dipstick hole. Now remove the dip stick and mark where the oil level is now. With what ever grinding or cutting tool that you have handy, just mark the stick. It now reads the oil level of your dipstick, oil pan combination. You can cutoff the dipstick if it is way too long. Just leave about 2" past your new mark.
