I'm re wireing my altenator and would like to know if anyone can tell me where the plug with the two blue wires go and the single green wire. what one goes on the top post. Thanks

As usual it would be helpful to know what you are working on and what you are doing

That is, is this a 1954 Boeing B-50?

or a 1981 DeLorean with the optional flux capacitor?

And are you using the factory alternator and regulator or something else?

Ah, OK. actually, electrically, does not matter. Make certain, though, that you take the time to electrically check continuity. Neither one of these should show continuity to ground. There have been many of these that has been poorly rebuilt with one brush shorted due to bad / broken or missing hardware. Here's what this does:

If you get the blue hooked to the grounded brush, you burn up the harness

If you get the green hooked to the brounded brush, it overcharges to beat heck!!!

Thank you for the info. The aaltenator is a new unite from tuff stuff. So as long as i have no continuity to ground it dont matter where they go.

It does not matter what wire goes on. You can cross them up. Only one you can't cross up is the BAT charge wire! Lol
