Guys what direct fit aluminum radiators are you running in your barracuda or a body with your 440 without making any modifications?
Mine is a four speed so i'm limited on room with my fan clutch.

I run a Be Cool bolt in Abody 1,000hp radiator.
SUM-TING-WONG! I have put over 1000HP to this afco at the track never going over 175/180*
iS IT LEAN?? iS THE TIMING OFF? Does it have ample air flow???

I use a Griffin Direct fit, 2 row, had to modify the factory shroud to make it work.
Cools my factory A/C LA340 very well with factory fan and water pump.

I bought a Wizard with the 4 low profile fans......Car does ok around town but will overheat on the highway on any day that's 80+ degrees. Mild 440. Watching this thread for recommendations too!

I have a Summit Racing brand that’s a “universal fit”. I measured between the frame rails and got the biggest one that would squeeze in there.
I’m also running 2 cheap 10” electric fans that turn on at 185°. No shroud.
It keeps it under 200° on the hottest days of southern GA and was pretty cheap

Sorry I don’t have a picture of it in the car.

What brackets did you make as a lower mount for the cross flow rad. ?
I am going to be buying a rad and see a few people go with the crossflow. What are the pro's and con's. thanks

I have two thin pieces of metal bolted in that are squeezing it to the rad support with some rubber shims. Going from top to bottom.

no lower or upper mounts on a crossflow , i had four 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 alum. angles welded to the sides of mine and redrilled a couple of holes, the 28x19 core fit my

rad opening perfectly . the tanks are still behind the cradle-------core is actually 22x19.

There was an article or video years ago that someone made a larger radiator for Ronnie Sox that would fit the radiator support in a A-body to fit a big block swap. I would sure appreciate if someone out there who has a good memory can supple this info. I would like to install that set-up in my Duster. I'm sure it would help others on this post, too.

YOu have at least another inch of width to play with if you trim the pinch seams on the frame rails. There is a ton that has to be cut out of the support opening itself once you get a larger radiator in there. The Be Cool model actually steps out wider than the framrails to the inner fender width.

Is that a 3 core ?
Thanks

I've been really happy so far with the Cordoba radiator that I put in my Duster. I used the Cordoba radiator as well as the shroud and the clutch fan setup. The engine is staying super cool when I take it out for a drive. I haven't gone thru the summer heat with it yet but so far it is working great.

Is this the one?

Boy that is one clean engine compartment. Your radiator looks like it came from the factory. I'm really curious to hear about your ignition setup.
