Raw or unpolished aluminum...Phosphoric acid. It will clean the metal chemically. It is usually the key ingredient in commercial wheel cleaners.
I don't know if I should admit this or not ...but I was thinking that I had a bottle of stuff that I used to clean my truck aluminum tool box with years ago. I got rid of the truck and toolbox is why I really didn't think about it. Well I found it... and it looks just like the White Diamond liquid.
The name of tool box cleaner is called Diamond Brite Truck Box Polish. YOU CAN BUY IT AT LOWES! LOL!
The directions are exactly the same!
