I am getting quite fed up with 49 year old wiring. Intermittent tail lights, dim headlamps, very dim dash lights, intermittent courtesy lights, fuse block getting HOT, et cetera. I have to wiggle the fuse block wiring to get my tail lamps to function. This **** is NOT COOL! When I run my heater/defroster, that wiring gets VERY un-cool!

I have crackedback's headlight relay kit on my wishlist, and I already have slantsixdan's turnsignal/brakelight part.

Who here has used any of the following, and what were your thoughts. I need to hear the good and the bad and the why of it. Also, what special things did you need to do to get the general wiring kits to work on Ma Mopar's electrical system?

American Autowire 510603 1967-1975 Mopar A-Body Classic Update Kit
American Autowire 500695 Highway 22
American Autowire 500703 Highway 15
Ron Francis XP-777 61-75 Mopar Express
Ron Francis WR-95 Retro Series
Ron Francis AC-68 Mopar Access 24/7

I am leaning towards either 510603 or XP-777 right now. I will be calling both next week on my lunch break.

And one for the My Luck thread. ;)

I have Ron francis xp777
Installation went smoothly.
I called the tech line once and was instantly on the phone with someone.
I mounted the fuse panel under the heater box on a hinge so I can just hinge it up under the dash but drop it down when tinkering.
I went with Ron francis because that is where he started out his business (sso I understood)
I had to tinker with the signal light wiring and the wiper motor to figure out which wire was which but it is readily available via the googler.
Otherwise it's straight forward following the instructions, crimping and soldering wires.

From the threads I've read on here I will be calling Ron Francis. I plan to rewire my car soon as well.

I have crackedback headlight relays. They work well!

I've installed both types. Both have excellent customer service. The American auto wire kit is more "factory" with its connectors where the Ron Francis is more generic. Meaning the AAW kit uses the factory fuse block through the firewall where the RF kit does not.

I have to disagree on the Ron Frances great support! I used one of there ignition lock cyl on a street rod and the groove in the key that keeps it centered is so thin and about .010 deep that the key goes off center very easy and it wont turn. I called them and the guy told me I was f-ing crazy we never had a complaint and we sell 1000's of them you don't now what you are talking about. and I left it at that. Ron Francis will never get a penny of my money again.

I have installed American Auto Wire, Ron Francis and Painless harnesses.

American Autowire is the most complete of the bunch and has the best instructions. Ron Francis comes in second. Painless has never been painless.

How about factory repop harnesses? Look how long your originals lasted. You can disassemble and repair or replace virtually all your electrical components and everything goes exactly where it's supposed to be.

I went RF Retro, I'm towards the end of my rewiring of the Cuda and as much as I dislike wiring it went quite well as long as I didn't get ahead of myself when routing wires where they need to go through the wire loom I got off Amazon.
The headlight dimmer switch plug is for GM...and had to make the new headlight switch work because I didn't want to chop wires to make my old switch work.
Study the instructions front to back a few times and have the factory wiring schematics handy to reference what wires /colors go where and all will be good no matter what kit you go with.

Anyone try the Ron Francis WR 95 retro serious
Any feed back

Speedway motors had decent kits several years back. I bought a 12 circuit. Not sure what their prices are like today. Seemed like a quality harness. I just checked the prices. A 12 is 150 and a 22 is 190. I was thinking I paid like 125ish but was second guessing. Thinking maybe that was a different purchase lol.

I just noticed the dates lol. I should pay a little attention to the original posters date lol

Are any of these kits the same as factory. Factory wire colors. Correct colored stripes on wires Factory correct fuse panel and bulkhead connector
