I am sure some of you picked these up in the model aisle, then put em back because something else caught your eyes. Well i am building one of these with my 9 year old daughter, so i am going to give you an unvarnished opinion. I like the real car, wasnt to keen on the model. As is typical for AMT everything was moulded in white. I paid $16 for this kit w a hobby lobby coupon, so it wasnt a total loss. The memories with this kit and my kid and i working on it are priceless.

I will give the minuses first

1. One piece moulded chassis
2. No opening hood.
3. No engine
4. Rubber seats?? Off the tire sprue. Had to super glue em in so they would stay.
5. Metal axles a plus except when they wont hold the wheels on. Instructions says use no glue there.

The plusses

1.what is there is very detailed.
2.very little casting flash.
3. pieces fit together well (except the axles)
4. Waterslide R/T decals come in black and in white, so you can paint and decal it however you wish.

This has been a public service announcement, now back to your regularly scheduled model building.
