So i have a 360 and originally had a 727 Tranny on it...now i'm going to the A-833 is the driveshaft length still work? and i have a bellhousing and tranny already but whats with flywheel balanced? and This piolet bearing? Don't i just have to change the bearing on the back of the motor?

I will probably be a little off, a driveshaft shop can lengthen or shorten it, also balance it. The flywheel needs to be for a 360, it is balanced. You can take a 318 or 340 one and have it balanced too, (my uncle did this). You also must make sure the crankshaft is drilled out for the pilot bushing, this is so the trans shaft can go into the crank. If it is drilled out already, you are in luck, just pound in a new bushing. If not, get ready to pull the crank so a shop can do it for you.

The driveshaft length depends on which A833 it is. I know that for an e body A833 the driveshaft length it the same as for the e-body 727. But what I don't know is if the 727's had a shorter A-body version like the A833 does...

If it's a 4 speed from an A, the 727 driveshaft will be too short.

I'm guessing that you need a 48.75-49" driveshaft. the one you currently have is about 45" if my memory serves me right.

is it an expensive thing to lengthen drive shafts??

I had my local driveline shop completely rebuild my driveshaft for less than $200 including balancing. All they used were my original yokes, everything else was replaced.
