Hello there, glad to be in your company.
Two years ago I made a dream come true and bought a 72 Dart Swinger from Beaumont, CA. It was a survivor, inline-6, paint, interior .... all 100% original. No rust. 74k miles, 2nd hand. - Shipped through the Panama Canal.
Not all was good, but good enough. I had it converted to EU specs (brakes, lighting). With a A904 TF, bench seat, dark tan colour & vinyl roof it's not on the sporty side, but used to be the hairdresser's commute between the supermarket and the bowling alley. (Thanks Ma'am!)
I put in serious money for a V8 conversion (318 > 391), A999, double exhaust. Disc brakes and 8,75 rear were factory equipment. Currently doing something against the camelback-ride feeling (springs, sway bars).
Driving the Swinger is like riding in a time capsule into the sunset. I planned for 2k miles per year, but made 5k, driving mostly between May and October, shunning winter slush and salt.
I am no car hopper. The Swinger will be with me until .... yeah, very long.
Thanks for listening.
