Hello there, glad to be in your company.

Two years ago I made a dream come true and bought a 72 Dart Swinger from Beaumont, CA. It was a survivor, inline-6, paint, interior .... all 100% original. No rust. 74k miles, 2nd hand. - Shipped through the Panama Canal.

Not all was good, but good enough. I had it converted to EU specs (brakes, lighting). With a A904 TF, bench seat, dark tan colour & vinyl roof it's not on the sporty side, but used to be the hairdresser's commute between the supermarket and the bowling alley. (Thanks Ma'am!)

I put in serious money for a V8 conversion (318 > 391), A999, double exhaust. Disc brakes and 8,75 rear were factory equipment. Currently doing something against the camelback-ride feeling (springs, sway bars).

Driving the Swinger is like riding in a time capsule into the sunset. I planned for 2k miles per year, but made 5k, driving mostly between May and October, shunning winter slush and salt.

I am no car hopper. The Swinger will be with me until .... yeah, very long.
Thanks for listening.

Welcome to FABO, very nice looking Swinger you got there. Anything done to the V8?

Welcome to FABO kroebje. That's one beautiful looking car you have there. Looks sporty to me.

It got a stroking massage to 391 cui, topped with a 750 Holley SA, currently swapped for a dinky 570. Works better with the 2,76 rear.
The transmission box is an A904 to A999 upgrade, for not to go to smithereens by the V8 torque.
