The lift in question is an older Cat V60B, manual transmission. I haven't been able to find much info on the unit by searching the serial number, seems the Cat dealers don't offer support for ones this old.
There are two reservoirs for hydraulic fluid -- one for the cylinders and one that presumably feeds the transmission and power steering. After running for several minutes, the fluid in the rear reservoir becomes foamy. It's not overfilled. What could cause this? A leaky hose sucking in air? Turbulence inside the transmission?
The lift tends to lose power after running for a while, I'm guessing the foamy fluid has something to do with this. After sitting for an hour, the fluid returns to normal with no foam.
