One thing after another on this 72 Dart with the 318.
I don't see how the fuel even got to the jets to run at all.
Floats were set at about 1/2 inch of fuel in the bowls and this little pile of goodies in the bottom of both sides. (an easy teaspoon of rust particles)

The previous owner probably set the floats so low to compensate for the needle and seat always getting jammed open with garbage. :D

Nothing I can't handle, just like the rest of the car, :D

At least these things are minor and easily fixed once found. You should have a pretty smoothly running engine when done.

Still assembling the engine after finding it had a wiped lobe on the cam after we bought it, but the weather is stormy today so I figured I'd take care of some of the stuff I can do indoors.

We would have still bought it even if there was no engine at all, so I'm way ahead any way I look at it. :D

Typical old car crap, if you cannot get the carb 100% pm me, I have a low mile 2bbl off my truck that I rebuilt a few years ago, it worked sweet.

Put a 1250 Dominator on it.

Thank you, I'll keep that in mind if I need to.

I was kinda wondering the same thing actually.

Maybe get away with just the primaries, eh?

Not a problem,Greg.. Just install some five or six series rear end gears,in it.. You be needing a long block,shortly....
