I just decided to get my tickets for the Cordova NPK race, a little over $30.00 fees attached to the ticket price? Is this normal? That's almost 1/2 the ticket price.

You want to attend a high end race? It costs a lot. Price NHRA tickets, that will put it into perspective.
Just think of the money those guys have in their cars to run in the 3’s in the 1/8 mile. You don’t see them with major sponsors pasted all over their cars.
I am not begrudging the racer, it's the fee's of the in-between guy. They are no different than a scalper going in and buying up seats at one price, then standing out front selling them at their price. It's just the way that I view it, but it is what it is.
I believe with the costs of putting on a show of this caliber, prices are reasonable. The cost of the liability insurance alone has to be stupid.
