I got my car on the road at the same time as buying new house. So I fired up the car for 1st drive which was to move it to new garage. Approx 7 mile drive, during last mile I experienced slipping and weird noises. Got home to discover fluid was burnt up. Drained it, refilled to find that 1st seems to engage, but reverse barely unless reved up a lot. Aren't they on the same band, makes no sense. I am running a cooler plus running it thru the rad, I cracked a fitting to confirm that there was fluid. Lost a pint or more in a minute.
Trans will have to come out. Any thoughts on what to look for. Any recommendation for good place to order parts for rebuild that ship quick?

They are on the same band, but involve other parts also, so it's probably not the band.
Forward or direct clutches.
They probably cut a lipseal or broke sealing rings putting it together.
Well. I guess if they left all the valvebody bolts loose that could do it too.
