I have a broken anti-sway bar on my 1974 Duster. Maybe it's called a stabilizer bar. It goes from the lower arm of the front suspension on an angle toward the front attaching to the frame. It's about 14 inches long. There's one on each side. Anyone know where to get a new one?

That's the strut rod. Very common and fairly easy to find, especially if you're rumagging through my pile of parts.

If you're combing through salvage yards, the strut rod from any 67 and later A-body will work. They can be hard to remove and it's imporant that they are straight and not scratched up bad. A light coat of surface rust is not a problem.

bring your old one with you. pretty sure there are 2 different rods.

After removing the old broken pieces with the Duster up on jack stands, I decided that I have about zero interest in trying to wrestle one off of a car at a salvage lot.

Jim - want to get rid of one from your parts pile?

I could for say, $10 plus shipping. There are two different ones, though. Measure overall length AND the length between the flanges. Pictures of how you measured it would also be helpful. Either post pics here or send to my e-mail [email protected]

sounds very reasonable. Sent you an email with shipping address. How would you like to arrange for the payment?
