Went to remove my passenger side headers today and when I removed the bolt closest to the firewall antifreeze poured out of the hole.
Any ideas????

normal....end bolts on heads go into water jackets

Hey for my two cents, I had a similar type deal when I was pulling the intake and exhaust off my /6 motor , anti freeze coming out of the holes where the studs are threaded into the head? I guess they go all the way through, that's what I was told.

I like to use a 1/4" longer bolt in those end spots. It gives more thread perch to let the sealer seal. Also, many seaping slow leaks from those bolts will seal themselves if given a little time and heat cycles.

and don't forget to mop up the mess, don't want to drag that crap into the house where the kids/pets might get sick from it....
