I have a WWII jeep and I have heard that I can put an old plate on it. I have a 1945 plate, what do I need to do to use this plate?

Thanks

Evan

Depends on your State........Go to the DMV site for PA and ask for help......most States let you use them if they're in good condition.

Maybe it depends where you're from, but here, as long as the tag is from the same province and not already registered, all we need to do is show them the plates, and they will issue a sticker for them.

Granted the same number is not being used, due to being replaced for damage.

Call your local DMV (better then waiting in line), they will let you know what is acceptable for your state.

in nova scotia...when you have antique plates..you never have to have the car inspected again..but there a limitations on using the vehicle.

In mIchigan, the plate needs to be the same year as the car, unless there was no plate for that year, then you can use the plate from the year prior to the "tag" year. Geof
