any ideas for aprks from plug wires...

I started my car tonight and noticed the engine wasn't idling right so I lifted the hood and could see a spark from one of the wires to the headers. Anyone have any ideas what causes this to happen? Bad plug wires, bad spark plugs (changed 10 mo's ago)? How can I fix it? Thanks in advance for the answers!

Replace wire and install firesleeve over wire so headers don't cook another one.

look into diff angled boots/ends to clear'em.

Hope this isn't a stupid question....Do I need to have the timing re-done after I change the plug wires?

no, but it's another place that likely needs help or could find hp gains.
