Buna-n? also known as nitrile buna-n. supposed to be gas/diesel resistant. thinking of cutting top out of fi tank and putting it on reg gas tank. any real world experience? thanks rick w.

Yes. Lots of neoprene like materials, o rings, gaskets, hoses, etc, are "buna-n"

They are an optional seal for centrifugal pumps. I believe we used them on thermal ice storage systems because they are better suited to cold temperatures.
