Im considering selling these door panels,if there is any interest in them.I can make panels for any car with a flat door panel, like most abodies have.Im a custom painter with over 25 years experience,so your only limits would be your imagination. These panels would cost 450.00 for 2 front door panels,2 rear panels, and a rear package tray, painted to match. For an extra 100.00 i will sand, smooth, and paint to match your kick panels that you supply.Of course al shipping charges would be extra. These panels will be painted base coat/clear coat,on the front side.If you prefer to have your panels painted on the rear,i WILL NOT BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE IF THEY GET SCRATCHED!In my opinion, once the clear coat cures fully,it is more scratch resistant than the plexiglass,or lexan, wich ever you decide. These panels are being made out of 1/8 inch plexiglass, for an additional 100.00 ill make the panels out of lexan if you prefer.Im using industrial velcro to hold my panles on,along with the factory arm rest base, and everything seems to be fine.If any of you are interested in some panles to set your car apart from all the others at shows, etc, please pm me with your wants and needs. Thanks,Toby

Toby......Those door panels look awesome. :thumrigh:

You are quite the talented painter......

Good luck in selling them & I'd like to see some more designs as you go...

Panels look great...If you ever get up PA way look me up, I've been looking for a way to recycle old sign faces, plex and lexan and typically have a stack laying about...

I might be interested in buying some of your material to use for this.I am also planning to do some kind of trunk finish panels, dash panels, anything i can think of.I will also sale the panels unfinished for the people who want to have theres covered with material of there choice, like vinyl,or tweed, what ever. Also thanks for the kind words on my paint work.I can do many things, and i know im not Chip Foose, but custom painting is my fav thing to do!

Now that is an excellent idea. I'll have to sit down and think of an idea or two.

If any body has any ideas of a universal paint pattern that may be attractive,id like to know.Or,if anybody is wanting a set of these, let me know soon, before i figure out a universal paint pattern for this first set.Im thinking of something like the 70 dart 340 door panels that had the wood grain.Mine will be black, with charcoal grey were the wood grain would be,and silver were the chrome would be.

I got somemore panels cut out today, should have pics of them painted in the next few days. The first set is going to jason(uscgcharger)to match his 68 dart, black and red, with mopar in them.

LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sweet idea man. I have been kicking the custom panels idea around for a while but have been struggling with a really good material to work with. This stuff is perfect. Love your plans man. Great paint work and custom foresite too.

Is velcro all you use to attach them or are the clips mounted to the backside somehow?

Are you mostly doing matal doorpanels or do you do upholstery also?

my panels are plexiglass, painted any way you want.If youd like a set upholstered,i have a guy in the neighborhood who can cover them for ya.Im not sure what he charges for his work.

Yep, I stumbled across A picture of the ones up top a couple of months ago. Anyway, I'm doing my car on a budget of course, and being I've been painting custom stuff for 10-12 years I figured what the hell. So I've made my own interior panels for my ' 65 barracuda. They have turned out real nice too. Thanks for lighting the fire under my butt to finally do this kind of thing to my own car. I'll probably be getting a hold of you again to do some out of that material for another car in the near future. Thanks.

no problem, since you are a painter, you know you can paint all the interior plastic with automotive grade paint, and it wont dry rot like non painted plastic.Dont wast your time with spraycan stuff,it wont please you with its quality, and doesnt hold up nearly as long either.Im gonna make some panels for my trunks interior also just to spruce it up some.Mainly because i havent seen anyother mopars done like that yet

Just thought id bump these up here again,i need to make some cash before i loose the house and everything else with it.Things have stopped at work,so ive gotta do something.

maybe so.Ive driven my car around with the first set temporarily installed for alomst 1000 miles now,and i like mine a lot.I havent put the velcro on the back of mine yet, since i was in a hurry to go to a carshow, and im not done painting my car yet.The door panels dont rattle or vibrate like i thought they would, even with the radical cam in the 318 and bumping sterio. So far so good.

Old thread, but are these still available??
