Anybody use GM LS computer/ coil by plug set up on 5.9 magnum???

My co-worker who does LS swaps said he thinks it would be far more troubkesome than it's worth, but the LS computer is easy to adjust for boost. You could always swap over to a 4l60e trans to have the computer control it easier. Another thing to look at is mounting points for sensors you may or may not have thought about. IE knock sensor, IAT, IAC,TPS, MAF.....Etc. these are all vital to the GM fuel injection system. Some of which are not factory on a magnum

Hey thanks for the info. I can put all the sensors from the GM onto the magnum engine. The only one I am not sure yet is if the magnum has a nock sensor? On the MAF it looks like I could have it turned off and switch the LS to Speed Density.
A guy at work said he has a 99 Fbody LS computer, wireing harness etc. he would sell me for $150. It's even from a six speed trans. So I wouldn't have to worry about trying to make it work with the dodge auto trans. Looks like I have a lot of thinking to do. Lol

The magnum doesn't have a knock sensor that I am aware of. It is basically a vibration analyzer, so it could be mounted anywhere that isn't on a water jacket ( the water will reduce the vibration and render the sensor basically useless). Does your co-worker have the intake off the First body? If so find out how much he wants for it. My co-worker is looking for one. If you are planning on running a cold air intake, you could always mount the MAF in the piping.

Also, even though the computer is from a manual vehicle, it will still require a speed signal from the trans. If I'm not mistaken that's a 5 volt pulse signal. So you would have to find out if the magnum trans uses the same signal or a way to create it
