Dad bought a Volkswagen I’m guessing around 1964 and it looked nothing like that. It was a fun ride too.

Made a bush buggy out of a bug 1600cc, 72 “ wheel base full cage 5 point harnesses just can’t decide which one would be more fun to ride.

This is a buddies of mine that races at keystone. He’s been high 9’s with it.

turbo Volkswagen but honestly I don’t know the size. I know he drives it around but it requires lots of maintenance. Lots.
Mines a wheel stander also only because it’s so short a little to short. 72” wheel base kind of snarey on a gravel mile rd at 70 mph

A guy in the old homeland took and shortened a Potato Chip/Meyers Manx to about that dimension. It was almost square so it cornered like crazy. Even an old tired 1600cc would lift the front wheels .

Eddy, one of the builders of this class 11, his daily driver was a Baja Bug shortened to the Manx dimensions.
