Anyone ever run Speedmaster Heads on their small blocks

LOL. Just kidding I know they look better on a shelf in the shop.

The current picture of my daily driver that must be taken care of first so I can put the slide back on and get to my first love snowmobiling...
Already have the bolts and all the gaskets in my Summit cart waiting to order.. just need that Black Friday sale to hit.. one or two other small projects and I should be on to the speedmasters.. this was always meant as a January February project...

Mine aren't even on a shelf.
Waiting for a Jones roller camkit to arrive and then hopefully be able to make time to do a mill and valvejob on the heads and install everything on the daily.

I'll be building a 360 for a friend of mine in the next couple of months, so I told him about the possibility SpeedMaster might have Black Firday-sale again soon... pretty much 2 SpeedMaster heads for the price of just 1 Eddy head....
But he's not a real patient person and had already ordered Edelbrocks instead already.
The name Edelbrock is still strong with people.

I have a set on my 340. I bought them bare and had them ported and set up with quality hardware. The castings looks as good as the TrickFlow, Ford Motorsports, and Edelbrock heads I've used. I don't see why they wouldn't be a good option for the street and street/strip guy. Just don't run the out of the box and don't expect them to run with heads out of their class.

I've got a set of complete ProMaxx 171s I got lightly used for about the price of the SM bare. They look good to me but I don't know much. I'll be pulling them apart this winter. If all goes well I'll throw them on the '71 340, but I need to make sure I can get the right head gasket thickness. I don't know what pistons are in the motor and these are small chamber heads so if the pistons are above deck, I need a thicker gasket. I have to make sure the gasket doesn't need a special surface prep because the engine is not coming out for this. I thought I read that the Cometics you can get thicker need a very smooth finish.
For the record, mine are setting behind the bar in the basement.

I have them, bought them bare. They are in my race car, so no street driving. I think the castings are quality. I wish I would have bought the cnc versions because I now want to get them ported.

Yes, keystone. 11.35 1/4 has been it's best so far, still need some tuning. Had gone 7.07 1/8.

Black Friday is just around the corner......
I got my shopping cart full at Summit with bolts and gaskets... I was going to have them price match Speedmaster...
It doesn't look like Summit sells the remflex header gaskets though?..

I have a set on a 75 duster.....and I have a set in that is in a machine shop being ported....actually one set of SM and one set of Eddy....both getting 2.055 valves ...same shop...same flow bench...same guy porting them.....
