I have a 1964 dart and while I'd like to keep 13in wheels I'm not sure how possible that's going to be. I'm using an explorer 8.8 rear with drum brakes. I'm thinking about seeing if I can fit a 13in wheel on ranger drums and if they'll bolt up to the existing flange to play nice with the explorer axel.

The simple and reasonable awnser is to change the front end to a big bolt pattern and use the bigger wheels I already have.

for starters they won't bolt up without the use of the adapter. the 13's are gonna have a 5X4" bolt pattern and the ford bolt pattern is 5X4.5

I know they aren't... I can redrill it or get different 13in wheels
you're not re-drilling a OE wheel but trailer wheels would work.

however a lot of those have like no backspacing. so good luck. especially with the already confined wheel wells of an early dart and the wider rear end.

Redrill the axel and drum not the wheel
