Anyone know anything about a 2000 F150

Guys i know that it is a ford but I really need some help. My dd 2000 f150 2wd short wheel base was rear ended on sunday on the interstate. I got nailed pretty good and the frame behind the rear wheels is bent downward where the hitch was mounted. I am think that the insurance company will total it and if they do I was wanting to fix it myself. It looks like the rear section of the frame slides up into the front/cab section and is held in by 5 bolts on each side, which also hold on the front spring hanger. Can anyone verify it? Because if that is all that holds the rear frame on then I can get one from a pull a part and fix my truck, along with a new bed.
