My father bought it new from Cherry Hill Dodge (NJ)
Factory 340 / 4 speed car
Lots of Custom Work, It hard and sold in 1977-1978
Believe the buyer took the car to Ohio.
I have the Window sticker, build sheet and buyers order!

Any help would be appreciated

Love the photo's. Reminds me of the 70's ISCA shows.

Is that Thunderbird side trim? Noticed 2 different grills, first one looks like an AMX? Are those Hilborne style scoops mounted under the front bumper?

Can't imagine the howling that would erupt should someone build this car today!

Sorry, but I can't help as to where it may be now.

WoW....what a wild Custom! Somebody did alot of work and $$$ into that.
Very cool.
I hope it got fixed...it's mainly the fender and grille/bumper damage.

A collector here (Western Canada) had a gun metal grey 71 HEMI RoadRunner that was sold at that very same dealership...the car in now in Brazil!!

Thanks for posting those pic and good luck in the search. With a car that radical somebody has to know what happened to it....

outside of the paint, he did everything himself, including the updated front end treatment in late 76.
I recall ( I was only 10?) the the guy that bought it pulled the front clip (and replaced it with fiberglass?)
He ran it at Atco and went a high to mid 13's on the stock 90k motor and blew the clutch on his 2nd or 3rd run.
He packed up and went back to Ohio

My dad's B5 70 Cuda conv ( it was bone stock except for a cam ) went to England back in 90 or 91

i've seen a very simular duster like that in rockford ohio it had a regular front end on it and the tail lights were change to a 75-76 corvette style had the aluminum slots and the side pipes still this was atleast 15 yrs ago though

You gotta love the late 70's... I can see that thing parked right next to a pimped out bubble window van.. Cool. Good luck.

Good luck with your search !

I notice that it's built at the Windsor plant ; that makes it the only 1970 Duster I've ever seen that wasn't built at Hamtramck :happy9:

That's fairly recent, considering the last time I saw the Duster was in 78 on a car dolley or trailor. Only 33 yrs ago!

The tail lights were mid 60 vette with the chrome bezels.
the black paint was a simulated vinyl that was used for painted on vinyl tops.
When the car was hit, he couldn't replicate the 'textured paint' and trim tape without having the entire car redone. That problem forced his insurance company to just let him replace the car and keep the Duster for parts.

He bought a 71 Demon 340 /4 speed and 'played' with that til I bought it in 87. The Demon got a Ford tail light treatment

Did you notice the order sheet was exactly 41 years ago today! 4/25/70!

Been in Ohio for 56 years now. Can't say I've seen that car!

i'll ask a buddy of mine that lives west of there to swing over that way were i remember it sitting might be still there

reminds ME of the RTS Duster that was found in a parking garage in Detroit somewhere.

Its like your Dad saw the RTS caravan, and wanted to do his own version.
Nice Custom!!!

This was his 66 Coronet 440 wagon he special ordered: 383 and a 4 speed!
Every high performance or heavy duty option with a bench seat!
