me too! too bad spike doesnt show all the fights. pay per view is expensive and i sure aint rich!

You Bet!

Funny I do not seem all the interested in WWE anymore since becoming a loyal fan of UFC

I am also watchin Ill will on spike cbs is elite XC tho And my fighters are Frank Mir and Rampage Jackson, dont mean to be a smart *** but lidell is done fighting you know tat right

Weak. Every time it's starts the fighting is good then they scrub around like sweaty gay pornstars until a tap out. Whatever happen to Ali...

Bj whooped his ***, and ufc is not weak its called an actual fight not just throwing punches wildly until sumbody gets hit i mean honestly can you go toe to toe with 1 ? id like to see you go agaisnt wanderlei silva, Frank mir, rampage jackson, or even i cant believ im sayign this even stupid tito ortiz? i ddint think so, theyd whip ur *** so bad!:-D

One of the nastiest guys I've seen is Urijah Faber guy from the WEC. That guy is something else for a 144lb fighter.

ali lmfao

ali would get destroyed by any ufc fighter. if is super funny when you see a boxer try to fight a MMA fighter, they don`t stand a chance

I watched the fights too, Very dissapointing to say the least. Slapping and open handed punches..........I've seen better fights on days of our lives. I really got a laugh out of the "temple" shots. I know you guys and gals "think" it's raw and real fighting but it's not. I'ts just corporate America raking in the cash$$$$

It goes both ways dude.
Put any of these guys in a boxing ring with Ali, and he knocks them into next week.:sleepy2:

Not a comparison of UFC vs. Traditional boxing but I like more of the finesse of boxing an I mean before King/Tyson era. Granted these fighters are in the best shape of any athelete, I just don't get it. Kind of like a bar fight. Cool for a second then you walk away thinking? WTF. Like Mopars I like old school. I use to watch WWOS on Saturday's with my dad back in the 70's and boxing was always on. 15 rounds is pretty tough to say the least. It's just when guys like Don King got into the mix and F'd it all up. To me the UFC and all the others are just boring IMHO. Like Nascar, just can't get into it. Trust me I have had plenty of beers and watch Spike and kept cheering, but just when it's get good the whole thing is over. Like Tyson in the 80's what a let down.
Oh and BTW I would get the SH*T beaten out of me no question.

I can see where your coming at this yea sometimes i agree it gets to where its getting good and oh my ref calls a stop due to too much bleeding or taps becuase hes getting his face beaten in.

i couldnt agree more! but a technically sound boxer who has been training since he's been about eight years old or so and he would dismantle one of those mixed martial arts guys!!!

Apples to Oranges comparison. Boxers and MMA fighters have different skill sets. You put the best boxer up against Fedor Emilienko or Anderson Silva with MMA rules and the boxer DOESN'T STAND A CHANCE! However, you restrict an MMA fighter to boxing rules and that boxer probably wins. MMA fighters are trained in Boxing AND Jiujitsu. The most successful MMA fighters that put MMA on the map are the ones who have a strong wrestling background (Matt Hughes, Mark Coleman, Dan Severn, just to name a few.) Many are accomplished NCAA or world championship wrestlers. That's why you see a lot of rolling around. It slows the pace of the fight down. Obviously, the grappling aspect of the sport is superior. You can thank Royce Gracie for that. But it's just silly to say a boxer can take out an MMA fighter under MMA rules. I say "go for it". MMA has taken a lot of the viewers away from boxing and a lot of boxing supporters are jealous of that. But yet, none of those "technically sound" boxers have made it to an MMA ring yet.

I watch both. I think boxing has a prodigy in Manny Pacquiao. That guy has jumped 3 weight classes since he started fighting and has showed dominance in each class. But this thread is about UFC/MMA and not about boxing.

I cant stand that show, Two guys punching and kicking each other and doing wrestling moves, is a big mess of a fight.
