I have an AutoMeter mechanical temp gauge. The sender is so long, it wont fit in the intake coolant port. Aside from running an electric gauge, what is everyone else doing?

You'll need some type of bushing. One that will fit the intake with a bit of extension to it, to raise it up some.

NAPA should have a good selection of brass stuff, I think that's where I got mine, take the sender with you so you get the correct threads.

If you use any sealant, use a paste type, not Teflon tape.

I have my sender in forward and horizontal from u, cost a clamp and short piece of hose. I have no heater, no therm. bypass hose, no therm. less is best

what intake manifold is that you have? Is an eldelbrock torquer?
