Anyone use speed master roller rockers?

-
I found this information interesting I assume it's all relevant still but who knows in this day and age. As I mentioned in the earlier post there the extruded aluminum roller tip the bodies are heavily built and wide, the hardware was all there including shaft shim pack to set it up, the adjustment studs and locks seem to be quality and I do not expect any problem with them loosening, no needle bearings, bushings appear to be steel. The rockers move freely on the shaft.1.5 ratio with 1.6 available. These were mounted on speedmaster heads and the sweep on the valve tip was pretty much dead center and needed no shimming of the shaft. They seem like a great deal but only time will tell.

I have been to the 'PCE' office/warehouse in Sydney. ProComp is the same place....& same owner.

I am using a set of the PCE 1.7 ratio aluminum, roller fulcrum, roller tip stud mounts on a BBC.

I've got a set of the 1.5s with steel hold downs. Its the exact same kit as the PRW 1.5 and has bronze bushings in the arms. They were a little gritty, but everything looked good and fit well once I washed them. Used with a correction kit from Mike @B3RE, so no feedback on spring clearance.

They also sell 1.5/1.6 sets with aluminum hold downs, those aren't as nice. I bought a set of 1.6 to check fitment, but didn't use them.

They had chips and grit from machining, the adjusters had oil holes that were off from center. Half the adjusters were stuck in the arms when received. They were also bushed, not in bronze but in steel/stainless steel.

A friend of mine worked for that guy many years ago, shonky as...he didn't really have many good things to say about him or the company.
Stealing product design and then undermining the market.
If it's speedmaster etc and it moves up and down or round and round, avoid it.
Who knows what the metallurgy in the products are batch to batch..

Does anyone know if the SM aluminum rocker sets fit under stock small block valve covers? I want to use the stock covers.
