Why do you insist on pushing the envelope? If you want to stir the pot, go somewhere else. "Jokes, funny stuff, anything goes"... tell a dirty joke, show some titty pics, post pics of your dog. I come here to forget all the other ****.

THERE IS NO HEALTH CARE CRISIS! its just another liberal scare tactic to try and raise taxes. every American in this country WILL get care if they go to an emergency room. its illegal to deny it. yep that even goes for the leaching illegal ******* immigrants that are here illegally (as in criminals) that are a major ******* drain on the LEGAL citizens and taxpayers in this country.

Tell that to Nataline Sarkisyan. We shouldn't be subsidizing insurance companies' profits to get our health care. It's stupid, wasteful, and in Nataline's case, terminal. As Americans, we can and should do MUCH better than this. The term "criminal negligence" comes to mind...

I am a newbie here but not to these BBs. And from what I know -- doing that chit is commonly thought of as "attacking" someone else on the board. THIS - I am not doing. Now if you have your hands in the HealthCare money trough ... I can see where you are coming from and going. But do you want to see this mess BANKRUPT the whole country ?
Health care costs are getting way out of hand. Would you like a couple of examples?
My mother is a pretty healthy person at 86 years old. But she does have a couple of issues that Medicare(that is YOU and me) are paying for. She was only born with one kidney and that is only now working at 15% or so .... so she has to go to dialysis twice a week. .......Do you know how much these people are billing Medicare for these 2 sessions of 4 hours each ?
She also gets a shot every 60 days or so for an arthritis condition. Take a guess on what this ONE shot costs ??
Anyone watch late-nite TV ? ...ever see those ads for those powered wheelchairs ?? ... that those hucksters huff-and-PUFF that "it" will not cost you a dime ??? .........Do you know how much Medicare(Both you and I) pay for some of those?
Lastly(for now!) .... remember that Exxon CEO that got a 600 million dollar bonus ? NBC news did an investigation of the top paid CEOs in 2005 ..... and that Exxon guy was NOT the highest paid CEO. Take a GUESS at what business this guy was involved with ...and what his BONUS was in 2005 ?

You're right Doc - the whole helathcare system as it stands in this country today generally speaking, really is one of the biggest scams going.
We live near Phoenix, AZ. There is a lack of specialists here that is definitely at the crisis stage. For example. My wife has severe intestinal problems. They gave her some prescriptions to help with the pain and the symptoms, but her "non-emergency" tests will not be carried out until mid January and late February. That was the soonest they could get her in for the procedures. In the meantime, doesn't cancer tend to grow and spread from month to month?
Knock on wood, I have been healthy and have rarely needed any medical attention of any kind. My wife makes up for that by having had 7 surgeries since I've been with her. Over the years we have had experiences that are right out of the third world.
Yeah there is a crisis going on in much of the country. If you're lucky enough to live in an area that has no problem with the number of doctors / specialists per capita you should count your blessings...

My "ticket" ...is to bring up VALID topics ... you don't want to deal with it - OR you don't find them valid ? ... change-the-channel. Upsetting the crew ? some people maybe ... but it is a a genuine wake-up-call.
But MOST of you guys are a bit younger than I am. Do any of you wonder if Social Security will be-there for you? ... NOT the way it is going now.
IMO ...it is an absolute SHAME ..and as Ace says - a scam. You want to talk about the PHARM industry ? .... WHERE are all their preventions and CURES ? ....
ALL they have is baby-sitting TREATMENTS ... that are never-ending.

IMO if you want to talk about issues like politics, religion and topics that end up becoming heated arguments go to a forum that is there for those types of debates. I have only been on this forum since Oct. and I have seen what these types of discussions turn into and they are out of place on a forum that was started for the love of cars and the hobby. I honestly don't think when they need to be here, and yes I can change the channel but what happens is people get pissed off on one thread and it migrates to others and you can see it in some of the replys in threads that don't apply. Its my opinion and if you don't like it change the channel. I just did!
