applying filler

-
Thanks for tips. I think Im on the right track here. I think I decided to sand again and reapply the Fiberglass filler. I think 1 more layer of this will reduce the chance of cracking the top filler by going to thick maybe? Plus another coat of fiberglass filler will make damn sure everything is sealed up good. Over all it didnt turn out too bad. I do see the areas you are ar talking about in the C pillar and I will sand and reapply.

One reason I'm using the 100 grit on the Orbital is so I dont get myself in trouble and really it doesnt seem to take that much sanding. I have a feeling that with a 36 grit I'd be chewing in a hurry and do more damage then good.

ok after 2nd coat of fiberglass I followed it up with 2 coats Evercoat Lightweight filler. It doesnt look too bad right now.

But my question is I can tell i have some low spots. Instead of adding more filler to all areas. Can I put a guide coat on the filler and block it down and spot fill the lows?

Also in these photos some where in the mess my top body line dissappeared. Whats the best way to get that back?

From what I remember my body guy used tape to define the body lines. One layer on the top of it and sand up to it, then a layer on the bottom and sand down t it. Need be shot another few coats of primer. Keep in mind that this was done as a kind of finishing touch type of thing...I could be way off on this so take it with a grain of salt.....
