I'm working on replacing the hood on a 67 Dart that has structural issues. I found a hood but the owner doesn't know what year car it came from. Do 67 - 69 Dart hoods interchange? Are they mounted in exactly the same way?

I haven't been able to find a difference. I put a 67-69 Dart hood on the stunt Dart....

The car is a '73 Swinger with stock '73 fenders.

I almost hesitate to ask, but what does one do with a Stunt Dart?

The reason that I asked the question is that for the 1970-72 hoods, which look identical on the top, they changed how hoods install in 1972 and you have to use 72 up hood hinges with a 72 and up hood and 70-71 hinges with 70-71 hoods. I assume that you used the hinges that came with that hood when you installed it?

I'm casually looking for a Demon but if I cant find one, It thought about grabbing a Dart sport. I'd like to put a 67-9 dart front clip on a Dart Sport. Do the headlight buckets on the 73 swinger fenders align with the earlier Dart grille?

Yes, similar to swapping a later Duster over. Reuse the fenders and swap the rest. Also '67-'69 Dart hoods are the same from what I recall and align the same (hinge wise).

i think it looks pretty cool. It’s pretty neat how the 73+ dart sport tails are square similar to the 67-9 as well. It would be cool to eliminate the reverse lights in the dart sport and come up with a way to integrate the reverse lights into the turn signal/brake lights

I think there's understructure change(s) from 67-69. But no issues form, fit, function

I bought the Stunt Dart in 2013 or 2014.

It was a 318-904-7 1/4" axle disc brakes but with rust in the roof and trunk. No title. I stripped the good parts from it and dressed it up to serve as a stunt car stand in for this car:

I have plans to make a short movie where the Dart is wrecked and rolled. I don't want to do it to the '67 Dart but the 73 was not a desirable model to me and it was cheap, so....

Fyi...

Regarding 67-69 dart grill vs fenders.

67 and 68 headlight buckets are almost in the same place. Close enough that they will fit.

69 are different

70 up crap shoot but 74 (iirc) Are very close as well.

I have a 74? left front fender on my 67 the bezel fits but the headlight is right up against the bezel.

As for hoods.

67-69 will fit 67-69, there are hole differences for trim letters etc.

Someone mentioned a hinge change.

Some year the adjustment went from the hood to the hinge, meaning the change changed how the adjustment worked. one group of years there was captive nuts that wre moveable in the hood, other group of years the nuts did not move but there were slots in the hinge to allow for adjustment.
