Are dynomax super turbo mufflers worth the cost?

haha, i did nail it right good. I love loud cars and fast women but toning it down about a 1/3 will make me a bit happier on the longer drives, especially with my 8 month old and wife in the car.

I'm not kidding...when my wife was bitching my car was too loud I gave her ear muffs.

Now, I don't recommend that, unless riding the couch for a week is ok. But it was damn funny at the time. Not so much after a week on the couch.

Unlike many of the folks here, I'm old enough o remember the 60's cruising scene in Tidewater, VA. Back then, you could always tell,

by their sound, ​

when a 340 cruised through the local Shoney's or passed you on the highway. It was very distinctive. As I work to complete my 340 Sport resto, I'm gonna be looking for that original sound, or as close as I can get it considering the engine mods I've done.

Supertruck, I agree and I bet you, like me, could tell the 340s by the roller timing chain noise they always made with original chains. Too loud of mufflers hid that sound.
