arm rest base finish - 68 hemi cuda

On the 68 Hemi Cuda's, did the arm rest bases come chromed or painted? Please be able to back up your answer with documentation.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
68 Hemi Cuda would have arm rests. They would get in the way of the window straps.

Otherwise I think anything before 1970 was a chrome base and after was interior color
 
I agree, 68 Hemi cuda's did not have arm rests at all.

Most chrome arm rest bases came part of the deluxe interior options. On a 68 Barracuda, a std interior got colored bases. 68 cuda deluxe interiors have chrome bases. 68 Dart GT/GTS have chrome bases.
 
My 69 Barracuda with standard interior had chrome. Maybe they were changed though.
 
The hemi cudas did have arm rests. The window strap ran right behind the arm rest. I have a picture of a real hemi car but it is at an angle that doesn't allow me to see the base.
