Has anyone used this in place of rubberized under coat on bottom of car? It can b purchased in gal. can and sprayed with the undercoat type gun. Just wondering?? I have read where it is heavier than rubberized but tougher.

I admit I have used the asphalt roof sealer in a tube in place of auto seam sealer on several cars. It works great for me but takes quite a while to fully cure.

I removed some 67 OEM undercoat. I used a propane touch to heat it up then scrape it off. The OEM material looks, smells, melts, and burns just like roofing tar. I think you are on to something!

Disconnect the drive shaft before applying.....doh! No kidding, my buddy bought a 66 Cyclone 4sp. and half the drivehaft was undercoated. It didnt drive bad but got worse very fast. Pretty cool car besides that. He dropped a Cleveland in it, hauled ***!
