This should probably be in the "exhaust"section, but I'm hoping for more advice in "general". I have a "70 Duster 340 with edelbrock RPM Performer cam and heads, 10:5 compression, 650 thunder carb,833 4spd.O/D(cast housing, 3.91 Suregrip... and some other goodies. The computer program says I should be about 425HP.(haven't dynoed it yet). I'm using stock HP exhaust manifolds(I like the stock look) and dual 2 1/2" H pipes. I get a horrible drone around 2000-2400 rpm (I can't just stay out of that range as it is where the engine runs when I'm on the highway).I started with "FloPro" Super V's(similar to Flowmaster),then tryed "FloPro" Maxes(similar to Magnaflow...droned,but almost go quiet after 2400 rpm...weird). I've read the threads in the exhaust section...alot of people say that the Dynomax Superturbo's don't drone...I tryed them and the drone is just as bad as the Super V's:banghead:.I like a rumble at idle and when accelerating, but not at a constant cruise speed. Do I go back to the Maxes and put on resonators? Do I need to go "stockish"(although I don't want to constrict the system).I can't keep changing mufflers...please help. Thanks, Dan
