Hey guy's, I am still having a slight 2-3 shift flare on my 904 and was wondering if it was due to that I'm using Valvoline ATF-4 in it. Seem's like my problems started when I changed from Dexron 3.
I am tired of this trans not shifting right and need to get it fixed soon.

I know that the wrong fluid will make any trams do starnge things. I would have to switch back to old school Type F or whatever the OEM should be just to find out if the ATF-4 is the problem.

Haven't been following your thread so I'll ask. Do you have the kickdown on it or is it a manual valve body? Jackstands and a 300lb guage. Check the line pressure.

The throttle pressure rod is adjusted so at WOT it's all the way back to it's stop.
I've been having this problem for a few years now and can't figure it out.
I've tried everything mechanical and it was taken out, resealed and installed 4 times in 2 years.
I was just wondering if the ATF-4 in it could be a problem because that's about the only thing I haven't changed.
