I had a black P-Bass w/ maple neck too! Probably the best guitar I ever had. I've also owned a hot-rodded P-bass, a Travis Bean aluminum neck bass ( great sound...as heavy as a short block) and an assortment of el-cheapo's in my younger days. I currently own a Honer acoustic and a Yamaha RBX-550 that I converted to frettless YEARS ago that still has perfect intonation. You have to hear Jaco's "Portrait of Tracy" played on it.... wow.

<sigh....> My younger rock-n-roll days. I wouldn't trade those memories for anything

I'll Have to gather mine up and take a picture.

John, are you saying you played on Joco Pastori's album, or Joco played a Travis ?

By the way John you have a PM.

not exactly a "player", but I have a late 30's/early 40's Gibson acoustic....don't have any pics of it though....

Sweet 7-string - that must of cost a pretty penny. I built the blue one in my post. How do you like playing 7's - I love it.

bbtrux, Conklin makes a great bass, nice choice!

I love it, too, gives me an added range, and makes me think about inversions and starting out the modes in different positions :)

Yeah man. There's two full drum kits, one kit each per kid plus all of one kids guitars, basses and amps besides my own. Thank God my wife puts up with us.

Here's a pic of me gigging one of my basses.

Ive got an Ibeanez and a Scecter 7-string. I like them mostly becuase I started on bass then swithed to guitar. The wide neck feels alittle more right to me.

I also have a Schector 6 string and a LesPual studio.
