Strange place for a rust hole. Around the door lock. Fixed it.

I’m late to the party but wow, you are making good progress and nice work! Do you happen to know a mopar nut named Ulf who is also over there in Sweden? FABO member @65dartcharger is well known here and knows a ton of info when it comes to these cars, especially the 1965 a-body stuff. If you have any questions or need parts he can possibly help out or tell you were to get some...I know it can be hard to find parts across the pond and even harder to find people willing to ship there as well! He has the nicest most correct restored 1965 Dodge Dart you will ever see....as well as a few other 65’s :D

If it brokes I have a spare here in Sweden. Actually two of them!
Nice, hope I can get in in without breaking it! :) See your'e in northern Sweden, the Barracuda comes from Boden, been around there since it was new, last driven in -83. I'm 3 miles south of Gävle.

That would be cool, this car will probably not be done this year, but I have some e-bodies and an 08 SRT Challenger I can drive.

Putting Audrey to work! It's her car...
Then I gave up and put the car in the rotisserie, my back is killing me, working on the low parts.

Need to change a piece of the lower quarter behind the wheel, it's very thin, a few pin holes, gonna be tricky to make the rounded corner. I'm not sure where the quarter ends and the real valance starts, old repair there.
Should there be a seam?
Rocker looks great under the paint!

Great Picture. Thanks!

No new pict, I'm repairing pinholes in the welds around the wheelhouses now, that repair has been done sometime in the 90's...
Not that great. Trying to grind them smooth as possible also. Next I'm gonna hit the areas under the dash (where I cant get to with machines), with Phosphoric acid, gonna make a mix with some wallpaper glue so it stays on there for a while, after that, baking soda, to neutralise the acid, the rinse off with a hi pressure washer. Gonna try to get that stuff in to the cowl area also to remove the surface rust that I can't get to. Experimenting with a long nozzle spray gun, I think it will work in there, only a bit dangerous to spray acid with a spray gun, well see....

Started to work on the fenders today, both need some repair in the low part behind the wheel. Fender are from a 65 Valiant, not the originals. Then I'm gonna sandblast the inside and paint. When you mount the fenders, should there be anything in between the fender and the body? Like seam sealer or a gasket or so?

seam sealer before install

There was more rust than I saw right away, thin on the backside, had to make a new piece that goes all the way to the back of the fender.

Done! The part sticking out from the lip, with the hole in in, whats that for? I made it like original, but I don't see anything on the frame that it should attach to... Fenders are from a 65 Valiant.

There should be a clip on the rear splash shield where it is bolted to the fender at that little tab

Left fender, collision damage in the corner, under more than 1/2" of bondo. This is gonna be difficult to fix for me with all the rounded parts, gotta try though! As well as the normal rust behind the wheel, like the right side.

Laysons has those lower rear patch panels for the early A’s - great fit! I used them to repair both of my fenders.
